Delhi's CM Rekha Gupta Seeks Expert Advice From Chartered Accountants for 2025-26 Budget
New Delhi [India], March 18 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta interacted with certified public accountants to obtain professional perspectives for the Delhi Budget 2025-26, striving to ensure it is clear, well-balanced, and advantageous for every citizen.
On X, Gupta posted, "We had significant conversations with certified public accountants about the draft of the Delhi Budget for 2025-26. We aim to incorporate their recommendations and knowledge to create a budget that is equitable, open, and forward-thinking, benefiting all residents. The objective is to foster economic strength, broad-based development, and increased prospects."
As per an official statement, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta convened a meeting with Delhi’s Members of Parliament (MPs) earlier on Monday to talk about the ‘Viksit Delhi Budget 2025’. The aim was to integrate the MPs’ recommendations for the comprehensive advancement of Delhi and expedite project execution with assistance from the central government.
After the meeting, CM Gupta highlighted that the 'Viksit Delhi Budget 2025' goes beyond being merely a fiscal statement; it serves as a blueprint for a brighter future for all residents of Delhi.
"We aim to make sure that the forthcoming budget upholds pledges related to contemporary infrastructure, a pristine environment, high-quality education, improved healthcare, and fresh job prospects. Our objective is to establish Delhi as a prominent global city, providing top-notch facilities and chances for all residents. Toward this end, we convened a session with Delhi’s Members of Parliament today, where they voiced their perspectives on different facets of what we call the 'Vikshit Delhi Budget,'" she stated.
She added that talks with Members of Parliament addressed several critical topics such as expediting the construction of roads, overpasses, and metro extensions. They also discussed collaborative actions between national and regional administrations aimed at curbing water contamination through initiatives like cleaning up the Yamuna river. Additionally, they talked about increasing urban greenery and boosting the adoption of electric vehicles, along with updating infrastructure for new educational institutions and public health centers, enhancing medical services overall.
According to the announcement, the conversation emphasized guaranteeing optimal advantages from central government programs for Delhi. Showing her dedication to progress, Chief Minister Gupta stressed that transforming Delhi into a developed and autonomous city remains the administration’s top priority.
"Thanks to the active involvement of Members of Parliament and backing from the national government, we will speed up our progress towards achieving this objective. The Delhi administration is completely dedicated to the comprehensive advancement of both Delhi and its citizens.
