Easter at ARC: Embracing Family, Charity, and Community Spirit
The Achimota Retail Centre has introduced a lively and welcoming seasonal offering for Easter, complete with a variety of family-oriented events, community service projects, and thoughtfully selected amusement choices designed to please guests of every age group.
The Easter carnival at the center reaches its peak over the Easter weekend, beginning on a peaceful note from Good Friday with a classical choir performance. The heartfelt Olive Evangel Choir will fill the space with their melodic singing, creating an ambiance of serenity that encourages contemplation and rest.
On Easter Saturday, which follows, promises an action-packed experience—a significant day for the whole family as 'Games on Wheels' rolls into town alongside ARA, the mall’s gaming experts. This event aims to offer visitors a delightful array of engaging activities tailored primarily for adults, featuring heart-stopping obstacles and exhilarating contests. Concurrently, children can enjoy taking charge of the play areas and letting their imaginations run wild through fun-filled face painting sessions.
ARC’s management characterizes Easter Monday as an 'action-packed' day, beginning with the mall's beloved Easter Bunny Mascot emerging from hiding to stroll through the corridors and pathways, interacting with shoppers and guests and engaging in playful dances with children of various age groups. These encounters with the mascot often provide cherished photographic moments and bring happiness to both children and their parents, forging lasting family memories.
On the same day, there will be a 'Sip & Paint' side event designed for customers who possess strong creative and artistic inclinations. During this activity, participants can enjoy their preferred drinks while expressing themselves through artwork—a unique chance for both younger and older guests to unwind, de-stress, and have an enjoyable time exploring their imaginative abilities.
The excitement surrounding Easter Mondays in Ghana might escalate into frenzy as soon as the whistle signals the beginning of the much-anticipated Discount Hunting event. On this day, shoppers and tourists flock to the malls searching for concealed discount offers and special bargains at their preferred stores. Retailers such as Gamel, LC Waikiki, MRP, and ARA are prepared to provide attractive discounts and promotions on Easter Monday.
The pinnacle of ARC’s 2025 Easter festivities will be the introduction of their Charity Drive initiative—a month-long effort to gather vital supplies for those in need. As stated by ARC’s leadership, this particular program seeks to unite nearby neighborhoods in order to create a meaningful difference in the lives of underprivileged individuals.
"The Easter season has traditionally been linked with acts of giving, kindness, and generosity... For us at ARC, apart from guaranteeing that our customers have an engaging and fulfilling shopping experience throughout this period, we aim to utilize the Easter season as a moment to contemplate values such as compassion, empathy, and charity," stated Centre Manager Alice Esi Coleman.
She mentioned that with support from an NGO, ARC is gathering clothes, non-perishable food items, and vital supplies for donation to the Motherly Love Orphanage in Accra. To simplify contributions from generous buyers and guests, they've set up 'Donation Stations' at key spots throughout the shopping center.
"We are gathering an assortment of crucial items, which include lightly worn clothes such as shirts, dresses, coats, jackets, and shoes; non-perishable food products and canned goods like rice, pasta, and basic supplies, along with personal care items and home necessities such as toilet paper, soap, and toothbrushes," stated Esi Coleman.
The Achimota Retail Centre is situated in Dome, along the Accra-Nsawam highway, offering contemporary, safe retail experiences and excellent recreational facilities to several neighborhoods such as Achimota, Dome, Tantra Hills, Taifa, Kwabenya, Ashongman, and the whole northeastern sector of the city.
