Malabar Group Announces 'Uyirp' Initiative: Rs. 2 Crore Aid for Landslide Survivors’ Higher Education in Wayanad

The effort seeks to offer financial support to 134 students from these regions, guaranteeing they can continue their studies free from monetary worries.
The 'Uyirp' initiative was launched by Priyanka Gandhi - MP, in front of numerous esteemed guests. The event was presided over by T. Siddique MLA. Malabar Group Chairman M P Ahmed gave the opening speech. The main speaker was Dr. Tessie Thomas, known as the 'Missile Woman of India.' The financial assistance will encompass all educational expenditures such as tuition fees, dormitory charges, learning resources, exam fees, and transportation costs. Furthermore, the organization will settle any unpaid dues from previous coursework. This support aims to secure a better future for these students additionally. Malabar Group is committed to offering them preferential employment across its enterprises. Additionally, a specialized placement office is being established to assist them in finding positions with other companies, along with the creation of an advanced training institute designed to enhance their professional development.
Out of the chosen students, 70 are female and 64 are male, studying various subjects. These learners are spread out in areas such as medicine with 26 participants, information technology with 17 individuals, sciences with another 24, commerce with 27 members, and humanities with 26 attendees. Additionally, some are focused on aviation, engineering, and education. This program is carried out alongside T. Siddique MLA’s ‘MLA Care’ initiative.
