Parliament Hails ENA for Its Nation-Shaping Contributions

Addis Ababa, April 28, 2025 (ENA) — Today, the House of Peoples' Representatives Standing Committee on Democratic Affairs commended ENA for its substantial contributions toward meeting its national duties.

While visiting the organization, committee members observed the continuing reforms and received updates about ENA’s strategies to emerge as a prominent advocate for Africa through enhancing digital information accessibility, along with their sustained services in Ethiopia.

Deputy Chairperson Azmeraw Andemo highlighted ENA as a key instance of the concrete outcomes derived from the successful enforcement of parliamentary legislation.

He pointed out the agency's employee guidelines, showing how effectively implemented laws, rules, and instructions can yield substantial results, especially in the realm of media.

Committee member Abuni Alem highlighted ENA's praiseworthy initiatives to enhance information access, intended to protect Africa’s interests extending beyond Ethiopian borders.
